Airbus, Yell and All Saints are among the best firms in the UK to have an interview, according to new research.

The pan-European aerospace group was judged to be the best company in Britain at which to have an interview, with 94pc of interviewees, including those rejected for the role, saying that their interview experience had been “positive”.

The findings come from jobs website Glassdoor, which analysed anonymous feedback from candidates who interviewed at 7,000 companies.
Insurance company Hiscox and cloud computing firm Salesforce were among the top 10 best firms to be interviewed at in the UK this year, with 86pc and 85pc of candidates respectively saying they had a positive interview experience. Airbus, EasyJet and Rolls-Royce also feature in the list.

Companies had to have 1,000 or more employees to be included in the analysis. Candidates were asked to describe the interview process, rate the difficulty of their interview and share interview questions.
According to the research, candidates say they have positive experiences when their interviews are transparent, friendly and there is clear communication on their status during the interview process and afterwards.

Glassdoor found that among the employers they reviewed, 61pc of job candidates reported a positive interview experience. It also discovered that the average length of an interview process is now a staggering 23.7 days.



Carmel Galvin, chief human resources officer at Glassdoor, said that to have a successful interview candidates needed to be confident, passionate, remember their skills, prepare for tough questions and find out about the company they are being interviewed for before going.
