Pokemon World Championships 2017: How To watch TCG, VGC, new Ultra Sun and Moon Trailer



It's not all about Pokemon GO you know!

Starting later today the Pokemon World Championships 2017 will get underway, with the world’s best Pokemon players and fans descending on the Anaheim Convention Center in California.

The Championships cover a wide variety of Pokemon games, from the original and best trading card game (TCG) series, as well as the video game series and Pokken Tournament.

"The best players from around the world will be competing for the title of Pokémon TCG, Video Game, or Pokkén Tournament World Champion, and for a combined prize pool worth more than $500,000 in prizes!" explains the official Pokemon website.

As previously mentioned, the Championships start today and will last all the way through to this Sunday.

Any fans unlucky enough to not be able to attend can tune in to watch the action, which gets underway later today at 5pm BST.

Before the action gets kicked off though, fans are pretty positive that they'll get to see a brand new trailer for the upcoming Nintendo 3DS game, Pokemon Ultra Sun and Pokemon Ultra Moon
Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon launches later this year on November 17 for the Nintendo 3DS with all-new Pokémon and a new story set within the world of Pokémon Sun and Moon.

The game has already revealed as least one new evolutions with a third form for Lycanroc — Dusk Form — which is in joins the other two forms for the Pokémon, Midday Form and Midnight Form.

Lycanroc evolves from Rockruff, with the form depending on the version of Pokémon and the time of day Rockruff is levelled up.

More details could be on the way, as earlier today the official Pokémon YouTube channel in China posted a private video.
